Milan is one of the world fashion capitals. But is it also the new capital of 'ndrangheta, the powerful Italian mafia syndicate from Calabria? Such a question would have been unimaginable only a few years ago.

Yet, if we sum up together facts, names and murders coming out from Italian investigators it seems Milan and its region - Lombardia - have become the new colonial territory for mafias and 'ndrangheta in particular. Here, mafia bosses own tens of stores, restaurants and night clubs, as well as construction companies. All brilliant entrepeneurs who easily turn into ruthless criminals when necessary.
