Stanković explained that his choice was to focus on those issues during his mandate.

“The ministry is first going to examine the situation in healthcare and then take action to stop corruption and investigate any potential errors by doctors,” he told Tanjug.

"We will have to analyze the situation in healthcare first and then come out with the facts," the health minister noted.

"It is important that we identify negligence properly and inform the public about who is to blame, but without interfering with the legal process," Stanković pointed out.

“The recently adopted new set of regulations should improve healthcare,” he concluded.
