::: Best International Organised Crime Report
The Best International Organised Crime Report (BIOCR) is a annual prize in partnership with the Ilaria Alpi Television Journalism Award and Novaya Gazeta. It aims at offering the opportunity to international journalists to produce video-enquiries on transnational organised crime and corruption related issues. The BIOCR call for applicants is launched on September every year. Applicants send their enquiry proposals to the organizer. The four best proposals are granted a co-fund in order for the enquiries to be produced. Finally, the four finalists participate at the Ilaria Alpi Television Journalism Award where the BIOCR winner is announced and awarded.
BIOCR 2012
Due to a lack of funding, the 2012 edition of the BIOCR is cancelled.
BIOCR 2011
The BIOCR 2011 winner is "Toxic Europe", by Cecilia Anesi, Giulio Rubino and Delphine Reuter. The other finalists are "Human Goods: welcome to Europe", "Border" and "Criminal air". The winner was announced on June 18 at the Ilaria Alpi Television Journalism Award where all finalists were broadcasted to the public.
You can watch the four video documentaries on the online magazine Bright.
