EU and the fight against OC: Possibilities for the future

A conference about the role of the European Union in the struggle against transnational organised crime
FLARE Network, in partnership with the Department of Legal Studies of the University of Turin, organises on 26th November a conference dedicated to analyse the role of the European Union in the struggle against transnational organised crime.
The conference will be divided in two sessions and a final round table:
- The first session will be focused on the present situation in the European Union, with a complete overview about the relationship between European integration and organised crime, and the measures developed by the European Union to contrast the criminal phenomenon
- The second session will analyse the next steps and the intervention of the European Union against organised crime
- The final round table will be dedicated to discuss the adoption by the European Union of a regulatory act on confiscation and social reuse of goods confiscated to organised crime. During the round table will be discussed the results of the research developed by FLARE Network and the Department of Legal Studies of the University of Turin.
The conference will start at 09.30. The admission is free.
