The 2011 edition of the award will take place in Riccione, Italy, on June 15-18

The Ilaria Alpi Journalism Television Award is a contest organized for television journalists who cover topics and inquiries involving issues regarding civil and social interests, such as solidarity, non-violence, justice and human rights.

In 2011 the award will take place in Riccione, Italy, on June 15-18.

The award is divided into eight sections: Best Italian Reportage, Best International Reportage, Miran Hrovatin International Award, Best TV News Coverage, Best Local and Regional TV Coverage, Rai 3 - Doc IA Award, Young Award, Critics Award.

The deadline for applying to the award is April 15th 2011, 12pm.

Each participant will only be able to present one video with the exception of those participating in the “Award for Best International Reportage” and “Award for Best TV News Coverage” who will be able to send up to three reports.

The participants must send:

  • The reportage in Betacam, DV Cam, or Mini DV format.
  • Three DVD copies of the reportage
  • The registration form entirely completed with original signature (downloadable from website)
