Global Investigative Journalism Conference 2011

The Global Investigative Journalism Conference (GIJC) has since the first conference in Copenhagen 2001 developed into the world most important event for investigative reporters. At GIJC reporters from all over the world exchange experiences, get new contacts, attend workshops, arrange transnational investigations and expand their networks.

The GIJ conferences are about sharing experiences and learning from each other. But they are also about networking. At the Kiev-conference we will make a special effort to lift the active networking to a new and more focused level. Brigitte Alfter/Denmark and Nicky Hager/New Zealand will coordinate a team of networking ambassadors to help conference participants find the right contacts for exactly their interest. Also time and space for networking will be integrated into the program on all days of the conference.
